Description
The Glénan Islands, a magical name that evokes Brittany, clear sea water, and white sandy beaches. A true postcard where nature reigns and marine wildlife is protected.
Come aboard the Argos to discover the Moutons and Glénan Islands non-stop for a morning or afternoon. The comfortably seated boat welcomes its 12 passengers for an unique experience in the Glenan Islands, non-stop for a duration of 2 hours and a half.
Departing from Benodet, head to the Moutons to observe the marine wildlife. For several years, a growing colony of gray seals has been enjoying the timeless calm of the rocky islets to rest. The Bretagne Vivante association, which manages the Moutons ornithological reserve, recorded up to 13 gray seals in 2024.
It is also here, at the foot of the Moutons lighthouse, that several species of seabirds come to nest in the spring. Common terns, Sandwich terns, Roseate terns, oystercatchers, Kentish plovers… thousands of birds to observe with binoculars!
The boat sets sail for the Glénan Islands. At the foot of the Penfret lighthouse, you’ll learn about the history of this monument before heading to the archipelago’s other iconic sites: Guiriden sandbar, Loch beach, Huic lighthouse, Cigogne Fort… Here too, nature reigns supreme, and history intertwines with your captain’s commentaries.
Simon’s little secret, your captain: “I love the morning outing. The light is magnificent; it’s like nature awakens. A special moment and the feeling of being alone in the world in the Glénan archipelago, among the boaters. What better way to start the day?”
For your safety, this activity is subject to accessibility conditions.
