Les Vedettes de l’Odet first moors at the slipway on Saint Nicolas island for a free stopover. The whiteness of the sand and the transparency of the water invite you to relax and unwind. Saint Nicolas Island, though small in size, offers magnificent views over the archipelago, and beautiful stretches of beach to bask on.
At low tide, the Tombolo, a sandbar on the island of Saint Nicolas, opens up to join the island of Bananec. Beautiful setting for souvenir photos!
In the afternoon, you’ll embark on a one-hour guided cruise of the Glenan archipelago. The on-board guide, who is passionate about the region, will share his knowledge. Penfret, Bananec, Le Loch, Drenec, Fort Cigogne and all the other Glenan islands will hold no secrets for you. Just like the flora and fauna that inhabit the islands: oystercatchers, terns and other seabirds. Navigation, fishing and historical anecdotes will round out this great guided cruise. A must if you want to visit the Glenans for real!

Luggage
Two pieces of hand luggage per person are allowed on board, up to a maximum of 30 kg.
Dogs on leash
Dogs are allowed on board the boats, provided they are kept on a lead. They do not have reserved seats. On the Glénan Islands, dogs are permitted to walk on the footpath only and must be kept on a lead; they are prohibited on the beaches and the foreshore (the part of the coastline periodically covered by the tide, including the rocks), in accordance with the prefectural decree of 19 January 2018.
Accessible
This service is accessible to people with reduced mobility in manual wheelchairs only, subject to a number of criteria to be checked by telephone before booking (tide, ship, port of embarkation, etc.).
Picnic
It is recommended to bring a picnic and plenty of water to keep hydrated. There are no shops on Saint Nicolas island.

FAQs
Saint Nicolas is the only island with a slipway where our boats can dock. During your guided cruise through the archipelago, you’ll sail as close as possible to all the other islands, without disembarking.
You’ll enjoy maximum visibility to port and starboard as there are fewer people on the launch during the guided island tour. The guide’s anecdotes will capture your attention and that of your children!
Seals and dolphins occasionally frequent the Glenan archipelago, so get out your camera if you’re lucky enough to come across them! Most of the time we can see them during the crossing.

We thoroughly enjoyed our day at Les Glénan with its breathtaking scenery 🤩 and, as an added bonus, the dolphins that came to say hello – a really lovely moment – and the seals we spotted basking in the sun 😂 A big thank you to the crew on board, who were all so cheerful and friendly, and in particular to our guide (sorry, I’ve forgotten his first name) who told us lots of fascinating facts in a really pleasant and engaging way – well done! We enjoyed our ride very much. It was a really hot day, but the sea breeze counterbalanced the heat. Beautiful islands, not crowded when we went in May. Staff was friendly and Justine, our guide, was a sweetheart who kept us well-informed both in French and in English.
