Benodet – Sainte Marine
Take the “P’tit Bac”, local ferry to cross from one side of the Odet to the other. This brand new small boat, proposed by “Vedettes de l’Odet”, offers you the opportunity to cross the river in just a few minutes. Take your bicycles or push-chairs – and spend some time in Sainte Marine or Bénodet!
When the “P’tit Bac” leaves the old harbour of Bénodet it goes to Sainte Marine. There, you will discover a charming fishing port, a beautiful chapel as well as the well-known Sailor’s Shelter, which is nowadays a museum. Moreover, the waterside terraces are an invitation to rest for a while. Art and history lovers will find the Ty Napoleon coastal battery and its very interesting exhibitions on Sainte Marine. Note that every Wednesday there is a local market bringing together numerous traders who provide exclusively fresh and home-made products! Lastly, if you are a hiking fan, you will be pleased to know that there are several trails, such as GR34 or the “Roscouré” forest.
