Sainte Marine in the “Pays Bigouden” region

The pretty port of Sainte Marine is located on the estuary of the river Odet and is an ideal place for anyone seeking wellbeing and peacefulness. It has its bars, restaurants and “crêperies”, but also a small chapel, the “Mariners Shelter” museum”, and its wonderful beaches. The coastal path has made Sainte Marine a place that is well‑known through many postcards and pictures of Brittany.

Sainte Marine offers numerous possibilities for bike rides along cycle paths. Discover the “Pays Bigouden” region from Sainte Marine to Pont l’Abbé, via Île Tudy or Loctudy! You will have further opportunities of discoveries: beaches, fishing villages, markets, rivers, forests, wetlands…

You can cross from Sainte Marine to Bénodet, on the other side of the River Odet, with the new small ferryboat “P’tit Bac”. After only three minutes you will arrive in the old port of Bénodet. Departure port for a cruise to the Glénan Islands or on the River Odet. An easy way of travelling, faster than crossing the main bridge by car!
